Integration: Data Bridges Between Systems

Everyone started to produce data in their own way via internet, social media, communication networks, instant messaging systems. In the past, perhaps only IT sector employees contributed to this issue, but now even an ordinary person could create visual or written content. While your grandmother shared a video on Facebook, your child could post a story on Instangram. As a result of this, the amount of data produced is increasing so rapidly. It is said that even the data produced between 2012 and 2013 alone is equal to the sum of the data that human beings have produced since the day they existed.

Of course, the infrastructures of information technologies continued to move at the same speed to hold and process this huge amount of data. Then, smart algorithms, modeling and artificial intelligence techniques that process this data came into play. Then raw data ceased to be data, it started to turn into knowledge that would provide an advantage for companies among their competitors. This development also dramatically changed the way we look at and expect data from it. Now, whatever data is, whether our business or our private life, we want these data bearing information value to be always at our hands and available whenever we want.

Building security systems have received their share of this transformation, as is the case with all other sectors that have close relations with information technologies. Here, data was instantly generated and stored by alarm and security systems. Images of security cameras, information of people entering and exiting at door entry systems, license plates of vehicles and many other information could be stored in each system and queried or reported when necessary.

Later, the instant data produced was not only in the system where it was produced, but also made available to other systems. For example, functions such as transmitting the alarm generated in the fire alarm system to the CCTV system in real time and displaying the relevant camera image here, as well as processing this alarm information in the card pass system, and the automatic doors controlling. Thus, all security systems would be able to work together as a single structure, and full monitoring would be provided from end to end in the building.

Having gained a serious place in this sector as a software brand, Duetron paid particular attention to communication with other software systems from the moment it launched its first products to the market. Each of the software it produces can work integrated with each other. In addition, it has produced many solutions on a project basis by communicating with different software systems when necessary. It also has the ability to implement different industrial standards and communication protocols such as TCP / IP, web service, OPC, BacNET by its expertise in development. In many different building concepts, even in applications involving many project stakeholders, Duetron software has successfully achieved inter-system integration by realizing instant communication with other software or hardware.

Duetron has further expanded its cooperation with Bosch Security Systems on software-based integration and has worked on interface preparation for the integration of Bosch BIS system with other systems. So, by developing software interfaces between two systems speaking different languages, it can also ensure the communication of these two systems. Such a study was carried out by the Duetron team in the Adana Integrated Health Campus project together with Ateksis, the biggest business partner of Bosch Security Systems in EMEA. In this project, both BIS and BVMS software have been integrated with many different systems within the hospital, such as nurse call, hospital management system, RFID.

While advancing technology brings people together in the virtual world day by day, it also brings systems closer to each other in real life. We are moving towards a period where devices are constantly interacting with each other. We need to renew our technologies in order to keep up with this inevitable trend. Duetron accomplishes important works in this sense in the sectors with the software solutions it produces.
